What We Do

12 Departments of National Renewal

We Nation works across 12 interconnected focus areas — designed to function as a system, not in silos. Every department connects to the next.

People & Economy
01

Human Capital & Value Chain Logistics

South Africa holds immense human potential yet much of it remains underutilised. We develop and activate human capital by strengthening skills, confidence, and innovation — connecting talent to opportunity.

A nation is not failing only when roads break — it is failing when people remain locked outside opportunity.

03

Enterprise Development

60–80% of small businesses fail within two years. We support entrepreneurs, informal traders, and small enterprises to move from survival to sustainability through networks, mentorship, and access to opportunity.

We tell people to create jobs, but how many systems are built to help them survive year one?

04

Education & Skills Development

76% of Grade 4 learners cannot read for meaning. We improve access to quality learning, strengthen foundational literacy, and build skills pathways connecting learners to the labour market and the future economy.

05

Civic Literacy

Many citizens lack access to information about governance, rights and responsibilities — weakening democratic participation. We build economic and civic understanding that empowers informed participation and accountability.

A certificate without civic readiness can still leave a generation lost.

Community Foundations
02

Infrastructure Development

We support local production, enterprise development, informal markets, and infrastructure enablement — including dignified living and housing initiatives — so that value circulates within communities.

06

Food Security

South Africa produces enough food nationally, yet millions face food insecurity. We support community food production, empower small-scale farmers, and build local market access and distribution networks.

In a country that produces food, hunger should disturb us every day.

07

Health & Social Welfare

We support community health systems including preventive care and mental health, integrated social support, economic empowerment, and institutional accountability in health and welfare governance.

A healthy nation is not built in hospitals alone.

09

Safety & Security

We support community safety partnerships, institutional strengthening, justice and correctional reform, anti-corruption, and integrated national safety strategies — building environments where safety is not a privilege.

When fear shapes daily movement, freedom is already compromised.

Nation & Identity
08

Accountable Governance

We promote transparency, citizen participation, ethical leadership development, corporate accountability, and civic literacy — rebuilding public trust through active engagement and institutional reform.

10

Sports

Identifying and nurturing sporting talent from community level to professional platforms. Using sport as a bridge for social cohesion, dialogue, and trust-building across communities and generations.

11

Arts

Supporting artists and creative practitioners to reach sustainable livelihoods. Platforms for national expression through music, performance, storytelling, and praise poetry — because creativity is infrastructure.

What if creativity is not entertainment alone, but infrastructure?

12

Culture & Heritage

Preservation and transmission of indigenous knowledge, oral traditions, music, storytelling and cultural practices. Reconnecting South Africans to shared identity and collective pride through cultural economy development.

Sport reveals character. Art inspires imagination. Heritage anchors identity. Culture connects generations. Together they form the living fabric of a nation.
